Alison's Legacy

Hi, I'm Alison and I started Hidden Valley Broome almost 33 years ago in my kitchen. I've been thinking a lot about my legacy and what to do. I want my legacy to be an enduring business that Broome can feel proud of. I want it to stand for truth and for humanity in this beautiful community of ours. I want it to be full of love for the Kimberley, for plants and for each other.

But you know, I'm 74 now and my body is protesting! So, what to do? I really don't want to sell. It's too beautiful and I want to keep it in my family and I trust that that's going to be possible. I want a business that stays both humane and profitable at the same time. It's perfectly possible.

I also really want to thank you all, my beautiful community, my customers, all the amazing people who've worked with me. You've seen all along what we're trying to do. It's been such a creative joy and has been incredibly fulfilling for me. So, you'll find me most Saturday mornings in the shop and I'm going to make sure the products maintain their high standard and improve them wherever I can. So I'm still around. Isn't it wonderful? I can be the Grandma!

So, thank you and please hold to these amazing values that we know are the only way forward for the world in this dark and troubled time. We must be a stabilising force in this wonderful Broome community of ours. We must continue to stand for love, for truth, for sovereignty and for goodwill. And I know you all get that which is why you keep coming back. It's what has always been the purpose of the business.

So thank you, I love you!
