We are excited to present these exquisitely moulded and gift packaged soaps - the top of our range of high class cold process hand made soaps. We assure you, nothing like this exists anywhere else in the world! Essential oils have been doubled for these and care taken to present them well, with an explanatory pamphlet explaining the science about what these are in nature, Hidden Valley's story of creating them, and the ingredients and usage inside.

We have had moulds created in the shape of the heart urchin tests (skeletons) often found on the beach near Broome after peak tides. These shapes fit perfectly into your hand, and have the most delicate patterns on their surface. Broome people often collect and showcase them in their homes. Alison has wanted to make soaps and shampoos from them for many years.

The soap itself is designed to be a luxurious version of our Pearl Soap, palm free and exquisitely fragranced with our classic Peace pure essential oil blend. This is a blend of pure essential oils of rosewood, rose geranium, palma rosa, patchouli, frankincense, tangerine and lemongrass. But these fragrances have been doubled to be stronger than our normal Pearl soap. The soap is handmade via cold process, finished with cosmetic grade pearl mica. Still the most natural and luxurious way to wash!

At Cable Beach we so often see crowds of visitors and also locals, watching the sun setting over that endless Indian Ocean. In the Wet Season or buildup (October through March) the tropical skies can be quite spectacular, an endless source of joy and delight. And we are reminded that this event, watching the sun descend into the sea horizon, is iconic for all West Australians. We grew up either by the ocean or having holidays there. It is part of our psyche and we orient our sense of direction this way. It brings up feelings of nostalgia, clarity, satisfaction, love, feeling at-home, refreshed, grounded and relaxed.

This gift box is inspired by this love of sun setting over sea, such a West Australian thing. We wanted a really yummy bathroom set of body wash, room spray and body lotion with a similar aroma which reflects WA and the concept of sun over ocean. So we chose delicious West Australian honey myrtle essential oil. This is a special one, not nearly as well known as lemon myrtle (from Queensland).  But in our opinion it is even lovelier. It is distilled near Harvey in the South West, and recent crops were decimated by the fires down there. But we have enough, and the honey myrtle is regenerating, so we can manage to include it as the major component in an essential oil blend. 

To this beautiful warm lemony bushy essential oil we have added sweet orange, for even more warmth (the sun factor!) and some cold pressed lime for zing and freshness, like the sea air. In the body lotion we replaced the lime with may chang (litsea cupeba) to reduce any possible citrus phototoxic effects in stay-on skin products. We like may chang even better than lemongrass, and it has similar properties.  The room spray is fab! Perfect for the loo.  And we think you will like the overall aroma and concept.  It's so much fun creating new products in this way! From the heart, with some knowledge and experience thrown in.

Full set of 3 beautiful mild and primarily organic facial skin care products for dry or mature skin - Ubtan Vata Cleanser/Exfoliant, Toning & Treatment Serum and Moisturiser, with small sweet ceramic bowl and spoon, in a handy zip bag with full instructions and information.  These are our finest safest and most "chemical free" facial products, and we are confident you will love them too. 

We have remodelled this pack to include the Ubtan Vata - our very popular all natural finely ground cereal, herb and essential oil cleanser which works as both cleanser and mild scrub. This product is unique - it results from a kind of marriage of Ayurvedic skin care principles with our knowledge of Western herbs and essential oils - all to help dry or mature skin. There are NO synthetic chemicals - no emulsifiers or preservatives required. It may be sufficient to use this cleanser every few days if you are not wearing makeup.  However, the Rejuvenate 1 Creamy Cleanser is also available for daily use if required or if you prefer this.

If you need to remove heavy eye makeup, we advise using a few drops of a fine oil such as jojoba, or even olive or grapeseed.

How to use the Rejuvenate Pack of 3 Range

Mix a spoon or two of Ubtan powder in the bowl with water, milk, rosewater, or even a few drops of oil if the face is very dry. Apply to damp face and neck and gently massage in.  Rinse clean. Remember not to drag the skin.

2) Toning Treatment Serum

Use one pump only – do not over apply. Rub between clean hands and smear thin layer over face and neck. Allow to dry before applying moisturizer.

3) Moisturiser

Only a tiny amount is needed of this rich, packed full of goodies cream – apply according to the level of dryness or humidity and the condition of skin. Generally a thin layer is adequate. Apply to entire face, being careful to pat around eye area and avoid drag.

How to use the Rejuvenate range

4) Facial Exfoliant

Use this instead of cleanser as required to remove dry surface cells. For very dry and sensitive skin, weekly may be sufficient. Exfoliating action is created with gentle jojoba beads. Avoid vigorous rubbing. Rinse clean.

Pack contains Rejuvenate Cleanser, Toning & Treatment Serum, Moisturiser and Exfoliant. Cleanser & Exfoliant come in 125 ml plastic pump or disc top containers, Serum and Moisturiser are in airless pump bottles.

All you need except the colourful fabrics to make your own eco-friendly beeswax food wraps, replacing cling film for storage of food.

This kit contains 100  grams beeswax, 60 gm gum rosin (helps make it flexible and sticky) and 30 ml jojoba oil (to soften with an oil which wont go rancid). Full instructions are provided, also tips for using, and care and maintenance. This amount will make 7-10 wraps, depending on the size you choose.  Find your own fabrics from remnants, calico, old sheets or clothes, or new bright quilting fabrics. 100% cotton is best, with close weave. Lighter colours dont show the wax as much.

Our all vegetable soy wax Monaco glass container candles are safe, non-toxic and environmentally sustainable. They burn up to 50% longer than paraffin candles, contain higher levels of essential oils (we use 4%), and spills clean up easily with hot soapy water. We love making them too.

Specifications:

Small Soybeams - 7.5cm high, 6cm wide, 55 g of wax, burn around 8 hours. 

Medium Soybeams - 10cm high, 8cm wide, 165 g of wax, burn around 40 hours 

In our shop we also offer Large Soybeams (320 g wax) to personal shoppers at $38 each. However, we have found these too fragile to be sent via post for mail order customers. They need to be carried on planes as hand luggage.
