Crafted in small batches in Broome, Cable Beach Sunset Soap captures the calming beauty of Broome’s iconic sunsets. Made with nourishing oils, a warm and uplifting essential oil blend, and minimal-waste packaging, it gently cleanses and uplifts both skin and spirit.
Relaxing, pampering soap made in homage to sunsets over beautiful Cable Beach. Our biggest selling soap, a favourite among Broome locals.
This artisan soap is as gentle on the planet as it is on your skin. A rich yet gentle lather makes it suitable for most skin types, while its grounding scent and striking appearance make it a beautiful self-care ritual or thoughtful gift.
As well as making good soap at a physical level, we aim to create soap that cleanses and nourishes the human spirit. We invoke divine blessings and beautiful qualities for every soap we make, adding crystal essences to prompt us about the blessings we seek. It is a very great honour to apply energetic blessings to a physical product which will be used in a very personal way. It is our way of helping the world become a better place.
Work the soap between your hands with water to create a lather. Wash hands, body, or face as desired, then rinse thoroughly. To extend the life of your soap, store on a draining soap dish between uses.
Inspired by evening walks on Cable Beach, this soap was created to bring the warmth and tranquility of Broome’s sunsets into your daily cleanse.
Saponified West Australian extra virgin olive oil & cold pressed coconut oil, certified sustainable palm* (see FAQs) & castor oils & cosmetic grade colours. With pure essential oils of lavender, rose geranium, rosewood, palma rosa, vetiver and patchouli.
Is Cable Beach Sunset Soap suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Our gentle blend of natural oils and butters, combined with soothing botanicals, makes it suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin. Always patch test first if you have very reactive skin.
Will the scent last on my skin?
Yes, the natural essential oil blend provides a light, lingering fragrance without synthetic perfumes.
Is it palm-oil free?
No, but we only use sustainably sourced RSPO-certified palm oil, chosen for its moisturising properties and stability in soap making. We tried very hard to ditch palm oil from all of our soaps, being fully concerned about the situation with loss of habitat for orangutans in SE Asia. However, palm oil is a really important ingredient for hardness and we found it impossible to replace all of it. Our solution was to reduce it as much as possible and source only Certified Sustainable Palm Oil which we pay quite a bit more for than regular palm oil. Truly, half the goods in our supermarkets contain palm - hand made cold process soapmakers use an infinitesimal amount compared to the big food and soap manufacturers such as Nestle and Lever & Kitchen.
How long does a bar last?
With daily use, a bar of Cable Beach Sunset Soap typically lasts 4–6 weeks. For the longest life, store it on a draining soap dish away from standing water.

Hidden Valley's unique, end-of-day relaxing, pampering pure essential oil blend, ideal for winding down at day's end.

Rich shea body butter mousse moisturiser for after sun and surf, for rough or dry skin with our lovely and classic Cable Beach Sunset pure essential oil aroma.
Apply after bathing to keep skin soft and hydrated.

A light, effective & well absorbed body lotion for normal to dry skin, made from beautiful Australian oils with Cable Beach Sunset aroma blend of calming, soothing and pampering pure essential oils. Recently reformulated for extra skin conditioning and moisturisation without greasiness.
Contains - Purified water, organic rosewater hydrosol, cold pressed macadamia and jojoba oils, emulsififying wax NF, glycerine, hydrolyzed oats, isopropyl myristate, Vitamin E, phenoxyethanol + ethylhexyl-glycerine, allantoin, pure essential oils of vetiver, patchouli, palma rosa, rosewood, lavender & rose geranium.

Our all vegetable soy wax Monaco glass container candles are safe, non-toxic and environmentally sustainable. They burn up to 50% longer than paraffin candles, contain higher levels of essential oils (we use 4% minimum), and spills clean up easily with hot soapy water. We love making them too.
Specifications:
Small Soybeams - 7.5cm high, 6cm wide, 55 g of wax, burn around 8 hours.
Medium Soybeams - 10cm high, 8cm wide, 165 g of wax, burn around 40 hours.
In our shop we also offer Large Soybeams (320 g wax) to personal shoppers at $60 each. However, we have found these too fragile to be freighted for mail order customers. They need to be carried on planes as hand luggage.
Cable Beach Sunset Body & Hand Wash
Our famous pampering, relaxing Cable Beach Sunset essential oil blend in this really luxurious and safe emollient bath and hand wash gel for those who prefer to use liquids to wash with. pH balanced, using mild and safe cleansers decyl polyglucose and cocobetaine, with moisturizing sucrose cocoate and glyceryl cocoate. Will not strip your skin oils and they feel really kind to your skin.

A light, effective, easily absorbed body lotion for normal to dry skin, made from beautiful WA honey myrtle essential oil & hydrosol, hydrolyzed boab protein, and fresh, happy sweet orange & may chang. Celebrating happy memories of West Australian sunsets at the beach over the vast Indian Ocean.
At Cable Beach we so often see crowds of visitors and also locals, watching the sun setting over that endless Indian Ocean. In the Wet Season or buildup (October through March) the tropical skies can be quite spectacular, an endless source of joy and delight. And we are reminded that this event, watching the sun descend into the sea horizon, is iconic for all West Australians. We grew up either by the ocean or having holidays there. It is part of our psyche and we orient our sense of direction this way. It brings up feelings of nostalgia, clarity, satisfaction, love, feeling at-home, refreshed, grounded and relaxed.
To this beautiful warm lemony bushy essential oil we have added sweet orange, for even more warmth (the sun factor!) and some cold pressed lime for zing and freshness, like the sea air. In the body lotion we replaced the lime with may chang (litsea cupeba) to reduce any possible citrus phototoxic effects in stay-on skin products. We like may chang even better than lemongrass, and it has similar properties.

This gift hamper is inspired by this love of sun setting over sea, such a West Australian thing. We wanted a really yummy bathroom set of body wash, room spray and body lotion with a similar aroma which reflects WA and the concept of sun over ocean. So we chose delicious West Australian honey myrtle essential oil. This is a special one, not nearly as well known as lemon myrtle (from Queensland). But in our opinion it is even lovelier. It is distilled near Harvey in the South West, and recent crops were decimated by the fires down there. But we have enough, and the honey myrtle is regenerating, so we can manage to include it as the major component in an essential oil blend.
