Shinju Matsuri, Broome 2026

Hi Beautiful Hidden Valley Community! 💚

Much excitement in town - Shinju Matsuri is here!! The opening night was hosted last night at Town Beach and Sammy the dragon was officially awoken from his slumber. Shinju Matsuri (festival of the pearl) is Broome's annual community, arts & cultural festival celebrating the town's unique cultural diversity, vibrant history and community spirit.

🥳 🥳 🥳

We are all looking forward to the program of curated events and community offerings across the next couple of weeks. If you'd like to find out more about Shinju click here.

In other news, Ali enjoyed sharing her time and expertise at St Mary's College last week teaching year 9 students how to make lip gloss as part of The Kimberly Innovation Festival 2026. The students carefully managed the process across four stations and ended up with a Watermelon Lip Gloss each. She also gave them all a small Clean Face and a small Almond & Calendula Moisturiser and spoke to them about the importance of gentle cleansing and using a light, healing moisturiser on their young skin.

Weather wise, we're heating up a little, much to the excitement of many who enjoy ocean swimming in the warmer water temperatures. Daily temperatures are beginning to climb steadily both day and night as the weather shifts into our Wirlburu season.

🌞 🌞 🌞

Wishing you a wonderful rest of August.
Much love, The Hidden Valley Broome Team xx
