Handcrafted in small batches at Hidden Valley Broome using traditional cold-pressed methods, this soap showcases deep woody and spicy essential oils against a backdrop of marbled ochre, red, yellow, and black natural pigments—making each bar a work of art.
Mild yet rich, it’s formulated to suit sensitive skin, offering a creamy lather and gentle poppy-seed exfoliation. Infused with nourishing plant oils and spiritually blessed with crystal essences, it cleanses and nurtures both skin and soul.

Is Cable Beach Sunset Soap suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Our gentle blend of natural oils and butters, combined with soothing botanicals, makes it suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin. Always patch test first if you have very reactive skin.
Will the scent last on my skin?
Yes, the natural essential oil blend provides a light, lingering fragrance without synthetic perfumes.
Is it palm-oil free?
No, but we only use sustainably sourced RSPO-certified palm oil, chosen for its moisturising properties and stability in soap making. We tried very hard to ditch palm oil from all of our soaps, being fully concerned about the situation with loss of habitat for orangutans in SE Asia. However, palm oil is a really important ingredient for hardness and we found it impossible to replace all of it. Our solution was to reduce it as much as possible and source only Certified Sustainable Palm Oil which we pay quite a bit more for than regular palm oil. Truly, half the goods in our supermarkets contain palm - hand made cold process soapmakers use an infinitesimal amount compared to the big food and soap manufacturers such as Nestle and Lever & Kitchen.
How long does a bar last?
With daily use, a bar of Cable Beach Sunset Soap typically lasts 4–6 weeks. For the longest life, store it on a draining soap dish away from standing water.

Dinosaur Soaps
Classic 3 toed dinosaur (Theropod) footprint shaped soap, cut from our top layer of excess soap. We use either Sandalwood or Ancient Rock to suggest the colours of the beasts which once roamed around Broome and have their footprints recorded in the surrounding sandstone. (These are one of many different types of dinosaur with recorded prints around Broome.) This is a nifty idea for children, approximately 9.5 x 6 cm.
Fisherman's Friend Soap
This is a specialised soap, designed to lather well in sea water and also to attract fish. It's the perfect soap for fishermen and boaties to take out on the water or bring camping. Contains fish attracting pure essential oil of Chinese star anise, together with anti-bacterial tea tree and pine, with pumice for extra cleansing power.
Extra coconut oil is used in this soap to provide the boosted lather required for sea water use. The soap is super fatted with mango butter to counteract any dryness.

Full Moon Rising Natural Soap
A rich, sensual, relaxing and exotic soap made in homage to impressive golden moons rising in splendour over Roebuck Bay. The moon is very important in Broome, since the town is surrounded by water and the moon's phases are used to calculate the tides, always important for fishing, boating and all activities by the ocean.
Colour is predominantly gold, with pearl marble. Contains pure essential oils of ylang ylang, patchouli, orange, tangerine, petitgrain, cedarwood, may chang and frankincense.

We first made Happy soap in 2004 to test the reverse osmosis water system we had installed in our new premises at Harriet Road. We were so happy to have moved in and we gave all this first soap away. But our customers wanted more, so Happy Soap became one of our favourites.

Luxury Heart Urchin Pearl Soap
We are excited to present these exquisitely moulded and gift packaged soaps - the top of our range of high class cold process hand made soaps. We assure you, nothing like this exists anywhere else in the world! Essential oils have been doubled for these and care taken to present them well, with an explanatory pamphlet explaining the science about what these are in nature, Hidden Valley's story of creating them, and the ingredients and usage inside.
We have had moulds created in the shape of the heart urchin tests (skeletons) often found on the beach near Broome after peak tides. These shapes fit perfectly into your hand, and have the most delicate patterns on their surface. Broome people often collect and showcase them in their homes. Alison has wanted to make soaps and shampoos from them for many years.
The soap itself is designed to be a luxurious version of our Pearl Soap, palm free and exquisitely fragranced with our classic Peace pure essential oil blend. This is a blend of pure essential oils of rosewood, rose geranium, palma rosa, patchouli, frankincense, tangerine and lemongrass. But these natural fragrances have been doubled to be stronger than our normal Pearl soap. The soap is handmade via cold process, finished with cosmetic grade pearl mica. Still the most natural and luxurious way to wash!

Soap Offcuts 500g bag
500g mixed Hidden Valley soap offcuts, unchopped, ideal for making soap mitts (try our Soap Saver), or soap sachets, or even laundry soap in soft water areas. Some slices or pieces are big enough for guest soaps. Some people simply fill a bowl as pot pourri to scent a room. Others squish them together, or give them to the kids (less wasted in the water!).
These are the slices and pieces that are cut off the sides of our large blocks when they pass through our cutting machine. They have been cured (dried).

Is this soap suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes, it’s made using nourishing, gentle cold-pressed oils and natural ingredients with no synthetic fragrance or foaming agents.
Is it vegan and palm oil sustainable?
Absolutely. It contains no animal products or by-products, and the palm oil we use is RSPO certified sustainable. We tried very hard to ditch palm oil, being fully concerned about the situation with loss of habitat for orangutans in SE Asia. However, palm oil is a really important ingredient for hardness and we found it impossible to replace all of it. Our solution was to reduce it as much as possible and source only Certified Sustainable Palm Oil which we pay quite a bit more for than regular palm oil. Truly, half the goods in our supermarkets contain palm - hand made cold process soapmakers use an infinitesimal amount compared to the big food and soap manufacturers such as Nestle and Lever & Kitchen.
What does it smell like?
The scent is warm, floral and citrusy with a grounding woody base. Grapefruit and bergamot lift the blend, while cardamom, frankincense, vanilla and cedarwood bring a sense of calm and connection.
Where is it made?
Right here in Broome (Rubibi), Western Australia, the gateway to the almighty Kimberley. All of our soaps are hand-poured and slow-cured in small batches.
