Crafted in small batches in Broome, Cable Beach Sunset Soap captures the calming beauty of Broome’s iconic sunsets. Made with nourishing oils, a warm and uplifting essential oil blend, and minimal-waste packaging, it gently cleanses and uplifts both skin and spirit.

This artisan soap is as gentle on the planet as it is on your skin. A rich yet gentle lather makes it suitable for most skin types, while its grounding scent and striking appearance make it a beautiful self-care ritual or thoughtful gift.
As well as making good soap at a physical level, we aim to create soap that cleanses and nourishes the human spirit. We invoke divine blessings and beautiful qualities for every soap we make, adding crystal essences to prompt us about the blessings we seek. It is a very great honour to apply energetic blessings to a physical product which will be used in a very personal way. It is our way of helping the world become a better place.
Work the soap between your hands with water to create a lather. Wash hands, body, or face as desired, then rinse thoroughly. To extend the life of your soap, store on a draining soap dish between uses.
Inspired by evening walks on Cable Beach, this soap was created to bring the warmth and tranquility of Broome’s sunsets into your daily cleanse.
Saponified West Australian extra virgin olive oil & cold pressed coconut oil, certified sustainable palm* (see FAQs) & castor oils & cosmetic grade colours. With pure essential oils of lavender, rose geranium, rosewood, palma rosa, vetiver and patchouli.
Is Cable Beach Sunset Soap suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Our gentle blend of natural oils and butters, combined with soothing botanicals, makes it suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin. Always patch test first if you have very reactive skin.
Will the scent last on my skin?
Yes, the natural essential oil blend provides a light, lingering fragrance without synthetic perfumes.
Is it palm-oil free?
No, but we only use sustainably sourced RSPO-certified palm oil, chosen for its moisturising properties and stability in soap making. We tried very hard to ditch palm oil from all of our soaps, being fully concerned about the situation with loss of habitat for orangutans in SE Asia. However, palm oil is a really important ingredient for hardness and we found it impossible to replace all of it. Our solution was to reduce it as much as possible and source only Certified Sustainable Palm Oil which we pay quite a bit more for than regular palm oil. Truly, half the goods in our supermarkets contain palm - hand made cold process soapmakers use an infinitesimal amount compared to the big food and soap manufacturers such as Nestle and Lever & Kitchen.
How long does a bar last?
With daily use, a bar of Cable Beach Sunset Soap typically lasts 4–6 weeks. For the longest life, store it on a draining soap dish away from standing water.

Happy Soap was first created in 2004 to test a new reverse osmosis water system installed at our Harriet Road premises. We gave the first batches away, but customers loved it so much it quickly became one of our most requested soaps.

Inspired by the delicate heart urchin tests often found along Broome’s beaches after high tides, these soaps are shaped using custom-made moulds created exclusively for Hidden Valley. Their intricate natural patterns and smooth ergonomic shape fit perfectly in the hand, making each piece both practical and visually striking. Loved by locals and treasured as keepsakes, heart urchins have long been symbolic of Broome’s coastal beauty.
This luxurious soap is based on our beloved Pearl/Peace Soap and infused with our signature Peace essential oil blend - a deeply calming aroma synonymous with Hidden Valley. Featuring pure essential oils of rosewood, rose geranium, palmarosa, patchouli, frankincense, tangerine, and litsea, the fragrance concentration has been enhanced to create a richer and longer-lasting aromatic experience.
Handmade in small batches, each soap is crafted from a nourishing blend of saponified olive, coconut, segregated sustainable palm, and castor oils, selected for their moisturising qualities, creamy lather, and lasting hardness. Finished with cosmetic-grade pearl mica, the result is a naturally luxurious soap designed to elevate your daily ritual.
