Also known as 'Australian Southern Spring flower' or 'Tick Bush' and found growing in North East Tasmania or South East mainland Australia, Kunzea pure essential oil contains 5 sesquiterpine (or C15) compounds that all have strong anti-inflammatory properties. Therefore it can be an excellent addition to any joint or muscle treatment. These anti-inflammatory qualities, combined with its anti-infectious properties can also make Kunzea essential oil a good treatment for insect bites. These magical properties of the Kunzea ambigua plant were discovered when a farmer in Tazmania called John Hood noticed that where it was growing by a wire fence, there was no rust on the steel and decided to investigate!
