Midgie Magic (formerly Sandfly Salve) was designed many years ago to help newcomers to Broome cope with biting midges and other insects. This cream is to put on after you have been bitten, as subsequent swelling, itching and infection following bites is the main problem. The cream helps to soothe, reduce the itch, disinfect and help bites with natural anti-inflammatory ingredients. Works also on bee stings and even, so we are told, on Scottish midgies!

Apply frequently until bites have healed. Can be used in conjunction with Herbal Skin Calm, a cooling soothing gel for all itchy skin conditions
Please note that an unlucky few will have severe reactions to midge bites, requiring medical attention and anti-histamines.
Contains: Purified water, chamomile and calendula extracts and infused oils, evening primrose, jojoba, rosehip, wheatgerm and carrot oils, emulsifying wax NF, witch hazel, beeswax, hydroxypropyl starch phosphate, chickweed & plantain extracts, vegetable glycerine, Vitamin E, pure essential oils of lavender, tickbush (kunzea ambigua), niaouli, German chamomile, frankincense & rosalina (Melaleuca ericifolia), fragrance (natural plant derived preservative), potassium sorbate.
I found the midgie magic one of the best products on the market. I also bought Kimberley survival kit another great product to gift to family and friends. The soaps are expensive but they last a long time and great for my skin. Thanks Hidden Valley .
I bought the smallest jar to 'test' it out, and I'm now regretting that I didn't go for the largest jar as this product has been a life saver with the onset of mozzie and midgie season! I love the subtle smell and my skin's immediate response to the cream. It shuts down that feeling of 'must scratch'! Will definitely repeat purchase from your wonderful selves.
My parents came across Midgie Magic during their 2017 travels through Western Australia. Of the many trinkets and stories they brought back, Midgie Magic was a stand-out simply for how amazingly it worked for mosquito bites! I've long since moved out of my parents house, but quickly realised there was nothing that could hold a candle to Midgie Magic for itching insect bites, and I keep coming back to order more whenever stocks are low. It is without a doubt the BEST thing for insect bites, I don't know what I'd do without it! Midgie Magic is brilliant.
I had about 7 large mosquito bites on my legs in which 4 were getting redness and swelling heading towards an infection. I applied Midgie Magic over a few days and they disappeared completely.
I give this product 5 stars. I see where it gets its name.
